You received this email because it appears there was not enough money in your bank account to cover your recent purchase, so your Circle Invest account is currently over-drafted. Although we immediately gave you access to invest an amount equal to the sum you had deposited, it takes a couple of business days for the bank transfer to actually complete and reach Circle. Since you had insufficient funds in your bank, your transfer failed, and we never received the money you have already invested.
Common issues that might have caused this are: insufficient funds, wrong type of bank account (non-ACH or depository account), duplicate transactions, declined transfers, and more. To prevent any future reversals, we recommend doing the following before depositing into Circle Invest:
- Verify that you have sufficient available funds for 1-2 business days following your deposit from Circle Invest. Sometimes the notice to your bank can get delayed.
- Limit transfers from savings accounts, as they might limit the number of transactions you can do within any given month (often times 6)
Please reach out to Customer Support if you have any questions regarding the status of your Circle Invest account following an insufficient funds notice.
