Section 15 of the User Agreement governs what happens in the event that you have a failed or reversed deposit into your Circle Invest Account. The below summarizes, but does not replace, the provisions contained in Section 15 and elsewhere in the User Agreement.
When you sign up for Circle Invest, you can connect a bank account and add money to your Invest account instantly.
If you attempt to add more funds to your Circle Invest account than are available in your linked bank account, or if you issue a reversal, your Circle Invest account will be put into a review state, and your ability to instantly add funds to your Circle Invest account will be revoked.
Unsettled Deposit
If after initiating a deposit we receive notice of insufficient funds from your bank, you will have 24 hours to initiate a new deposit into your Circle Invest account to cover the unsettled deposit. We will send you an SMS text message and an email notifying you of this failed deposit. We will also remove your ability to add money to your Invest account instantly, so all future deposits will take approximately 1-4 business days to settle, including the deposit you initiate to cover up for your insufficient funds. After we receive that money, we will complete a review of your account and send you an email to update you on your account status. If there is already USD settled in your Invest account, we will use that balance to cover the deposit that failed due to insufficient funds.
If you do not cover your unsettled deposit within 24 hours, any unsettled trades that you have initiated on your Circle Invest account will not be honored and your account will be closed. If you have any digital currencies on your account, you will have 2 weeks to sell those funds yourself at which point we will force a sale.
Please make sure that when you deposit funds into a Circle Invest account you have enough funds in your bank account to cover the deposit in order to avoid any issues.
If you think there has been a mistake regarding your account, please reach out to us and explain the situation so that we can look into it.
