On April 28, 2022, the Circle Invest mobile app will start the process of discontinuing functionality, as well as support, for all US customers. As a valued customer who has been using Circle Invest, we would like to provide some critical information to help you navigate this change over the coming weeks and months.
Timeline of events
04/28/22: Depositing money and recurring buys has been disabled. You will now only be able to trade and cash out funds to your linked bank account.
08/26/22: Trade, Sell and withdraw functionality will be disabled. If all of your crypto holdings in your Circle Invest account have not been sold by this date, Circle Invest will convert your crypto balance into USD, using the fair market price at the day and time of trading.
If you have assets in your Circle Invest account, we encourage you to sell your holdings and cash out to your bank account immediately.
FAQ
I was previously informed that my account will be converted over to Voyager. Why has that not happened?
Most of our customers’ accounts and funds were converted to Voyager at the end of March 2020. However, due to regulatory approval considerations in your state of residence, we were unable to convert your account to Voyager. Please sell your holdings and cash out to your bank account immediately.
How do I liquidate my account?
To sell, tap on any of the digital currencies that you hold, tap on Sell, enter the amount of your entire crypto balance, and then tap on Confirm Sale.
How do I withdraw my balance?
Once you have a USD balance, go to the Portfolio section of your Invest account (the middle tab on the bottom of the app), scroll down, and tap on Withdraw USD. Enter the entire amount of your balance, then tap Withdraw.
What else should I know?
If all of your crypto holdings in your Circle Invest account have not been sold by August 26, 2022, Circle Invest will convert your crypto balance into USD on or about August 26, 2022, using the fair market price at the day and time of trading. If you do not cash out all such USD, any unclaimed funds will be transferred to the relevant state governments in accordance with the requirements of state laws for unclaimed property. If such funds are transferred, you would need to directly contact the unclaimed property office of the state you listed in your Circle Invest account and make a claim for those funds.
Please remember to download your transaction history after your final withdrawal. To download a CSV of your Circle Invest transaction report, simply go to Setting > Statements
